Marvillar, the Ant Mimic tuxemon, is a Fire-type, Wood-type monster.

Trivia[edit source]

Name Origin: marvellous + caterpillar

Design Origin[edit source]

HippasusTwo: "Mantids don't tend to do dramatic changes, so it having one evolve from a caterpillar larvae is like having fire evolve into water. Sure, they're both 'elements'/'bugs', but that doesn't make them alike. An interesting exception however is mantids that mimic ant larvae. Therefore, I have redone Marvillar as an ant-larvae mimicking mantis. Ant mimics are never seen in games, yet make up a huge amount of life forms, so I think we should have at least one in Tuxemon, and Marvillar's name cries out for larvae mimickry."
