In a different story, the protagonist could find a shadow world where the tuxemon are people and the people are tuxemon. Some have already been sprited.

Variants

It would be possible to have different variants of a single tuxemon, with different appearances. Two that were created as an experiment can be found on the wiki.

Variants could come in the following arrangements (with examples from Pokemon):

1. A purely cosmetic difference, that's fixed. For example, a butterfly tuxemon could have different wings based on which route it's captured in.
2. A purely cosmetic difference, that can change. For example, a tuxemon could change its colours to match its trainer, and if its trainer changed clothes it would change colouring.
3. A mechanical difference that's fixed. For example, a tuxemon could have different abilities based on which status they had when they were caught.
4. A mechanical difference that can change. For example, a tuxemon could change type based on the season.
