Radio

Interacting with a radio allows you to tune it, and if you land on a station's frequency it plays a short broadcast as dialogue.

What plays can be set based on time of day, location, day of the week, and any other game variable.

Tuning

The tuner covers the FM band from 88.0 to 108.0 MHz in steps of 0.1 MHz, and shows Signal Strength:

The Spyder in the Cathedral

Two radio sets:

• Paper Town - the rival's bedroom
• Leather Town - House 1 (spyder_leather_house1)

Both are tuned to Route 101 Rhythms on 94.7 MHz, the only broadcasting station in the game so far.

Modding

• radio_map_lists.yaml specifies which stations can be picked up on which map.
• radio_data.yaml is each station's frequency, its default broadcast, and a list of conditional_broadcasts. Each conditional broadcast can be limited based on map_slugs and game variables (such as stage_of_day). A conditional broadcast can also set_variables once the dialogue closes, allowing for one-off broadcasts.

The first conditional broadcast whose conditions all match is the one that plays; if none match, the station falls back to its default, and a station with no frequency (like the Scrambled Frequency) can never be reached with the dial.

Place a radio event with tune_radio event action:
