Blind Shaft

The Blind Shaft is not a natural cave but a highly pressurized, unauthorized mining bypass excavated by the Cathedral's Shaft division. Its sole purpose is to secretly connect Obsidian Town to the hidden Hydro-Plant facility (a Nimrod asset). The environment is dangerously unstable; the rough-hewn walls are haphazardly reinforced by cheap, rusted steel girders. It's a dumping ground for the town and the Hydro-Plant's operations: mineral dust chokes the air, and deep pools of oily, toxic sludge contaminate the floor. Water constantly drips from the ceiling, but it is acidic and unfit for life. The air is thick with the smell of ozone, decaying materials, and mineral runoff, turning this tunnel into a clandestine and hostile artery for the Cathedral's illegal activities.

Events

Event 1:

• Cold Voice: This passage was supposed to be hidden. You are now inside the defense perimeter, Argon. You will not see the light again.
• Voice of Doubt: The air is heavy. The ceiling is unstable. This isn't a tunnel—it's a trap. Turn back before you're buried under Cathedral's greed.
• Voice of Revelation: Follow the sound of the churning water. The power source of Project Eclipse is near. Aurora's trace is strongest at the heart of the machine.
• Voice of Compassion: Someone dug this for a reason—a way out. Remember who you are fighting for, not what you are fighting against. They are just as trapped.

• S-stay back! Don't tell Shaft you saw me. They dug this thing for the Cathedral's security boys. They don't want anyone near the power plant, especially after... well, you know.
• They've been moving big, covered crates... things that hum. I overheard the Nimrod guards call it 'Eclipse Supply'. You go in there, you don't come back.
