Food Preference Effect[edit | edit source]

This effect triggers when a trainer feeds a food item to a monster. Each monster has two taste attributes:

  • Warm Taste: Their preferred flavor type.
  • Cold Taste: Their secondary flavor aversion or affinity.

When food is given with specific taste tags, the effect compares those tags to the monster’s tastes and adjusts the bond between them accordingly.

Taste Matching[edit | edit source]

The comparison yields one of five outcomes:

Taste Alignment Result Bond Change
Both warm and cold taste tags match the monster Great +10
One taste matches Good +5
Both tags are the opposite of monster’s preferences Terrible -10
One tag is the opposite Bad -5
Neither match nor oppose Average 0

Opposite taste relationships are defined by the effect and can be viewed on Taste Food.

Feeding the right dish creates a strong emotional bond. Feeding the wrong dish… not so much.
