Is making tuxemon fight analogous to dog-fighting or cock-fighting, or bear-baiting or fox-hunting? Is making them breed a kind of factory farming? Is capturing tuxemon slavery?
This ties in with the origin of tuxemon, with the idea that tuxemon are synthetic, digital or mindless being proposed as a way of escaping these ethical quandaries.
Possibilities[edit | edit source]
- Tuxemon battle as sport - just like humans do boxing or taekwondo (tamashihoshi)
- As elemental spirits, tuxemon grow and develop by interacting with all the elements of the universe. Battle is a particularly effective way of doing this (Sanglorian)
- Tuxemon are mindless automatons, perhaps because they are exclusively digital
