The process by which a tuxemon enters a new life stage. Can be permanent or temporary.

Methods of morphing

Leveling up

In this model, a tuxemon changes life stage when they reach a certain level or, if their morph is stopped then, at any subsequent level.

In some cases, as well as being a certain level, some other condition must be met. For example, knowing a certain technique or having one stat higher than the other.

For example, Katapill evolves into Sumchon if Armour is higher than Melee, and Bugnin if Melee is higher than Armour.

Badges/Booster Tech

In this model, a tuxemon changes life stage when a Badge (Badge: Omnichannel, Badge: Nimrod, Badge: Scoop, Badge: Shaft or Badge: Greenwash) is used on them. This consumes the Badge, and the change only lasts for one battle.

The open source Booster Tech can also be acquired. It lasts indefinitely and can be used any number of times, making it the superior choice. The Booster Tech can also be used to revert the morph, returning the tuxemon to the previous life stage.

Most tuxemon who change life stage through this method have multiple morphs to choose from, e.g. Memnomnom can morph into Miaownolith, Criniotherme or Pyraminx.
