Bonding measures how fond a monster is of its owner. It ranges between 0 and 100.

A monster gains 1 bond for every 1,000 Steps taken, and loses 10 bond every time it faints in battle.

A newly-captured or traded monster has a Bond of 25.

The bonding mechanics need to be activated for each campaign, by giving the Friendship Scroll to the player.
